Ingredients
Wheat flour – 2 cups
Salt – ¼ tsp
Oil or refined – (as required)
Directions
- To begin kneading the dough, combine the flour with a teaspoon of oil and salt.
- Next, gradually include water into the flour mixture and work it into a soft dough. Next, dust your hands with refined flour and work the dough with them.
- Give it a minimum of fifteen to twenty minutes to set.
- Once the dough has solidified, coat your hands with oil and gently work the dough once more.
- Conversely, we will continue to heat the pan over gas. Then, we will dust our hands with dry flour and divide the kneaded dough into little balls the size of the paratha that we want to make. and create a flawlessly rounded ball.
- When it comes to creating triangle parathas, we will start with creating round parathas as their shape would be more attractive the rounder they are.
- After that, roll it out into a large paratha that is 5 to 6 inches in diameter, cover it with oil, fold it in half, flatten it with your fingers, and then cover it with oil. After spreading, fold it in half once again. Once more, wrap the dry dough around the triangle-shaped paratha that has been created, then roll out the circular paratha to the desired thickness.
- To avoid having excessively thick edges, one thing to keep in mind when making paratha is that it must be rolled from the edges alone.
- After the pan has heated up, add a little oil to it and distribute it with a brush before placing the paratha on it to cook. We’ll bring out the second paratha in the meantime as well.
- Now, as soon as the paratha is first lightly browned, we’ll immediately flip it over and coat it by putting a little oil on the other side as well.
- Now gently press each side of the paratha and cook till it becomes golden. Once it’s roasted on all sides, remove it onto a platter.
- Our hot plain flour parathas will be ready to serve if we fry each paratha individually and remove them from the pan.
Notes
- Paratha can be served with any kind of chutney or veggie.
