Ingredients
Sama rice – 1 small bowl
Milk – 1 to ½ litre
Sugar – as per taste
Raisins – 8 to 10
Pistachios – 8 to 10
Cashews – 6 to 8
Cardamom powder – 2 pinch (to taste)
Directions
- We soak the Sama rice in water for 30 minutes before making the kheer. Too prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom, put it in a pot over medium heat and bring it to a boil while swirling constantly with a spoon.
- After bringing the milk to a boil, add the soaked Sama rice and simmer over medium heat, stirring often with a ladle.
- Chopped dried fruits will be added to the rice once it has swelled in milk.
- After that, we’ll simmer the dried fruits with the kheer.
- Once the kheer is cooked, decrease the heat and whisk with a spoon for two to three minutes before adding the sugar.
- After the kheer is fully cooked, we will stir in the cardamom powder, cover, and let away to rest for a while.
- After the cardamom scent has been well blended into the kheer, we will serve it. At that point, our mouthwatering rice kheer is prepared for consumption.
- This kheer may also be made for pooja; just add the garnish and serve.
