It goes without saying that we can make many types of snacks from potatoes, however the most liked snack among them all is considered to be French Fries. Agree? Well, that’s right in at least in the context of big cities and town, not villages.

Today a reasonably big percentage of people have started liking french fries very much. And why not, it is very tasty and liked by people of all ages.

Do you you know you can make French Fries at home like in a restaurant, that too very easily? Children’s mouth waters as soon as they see french fries. You can make it for your kids anytime in the evening snack or at other times, because every kid’s favourite is french fries, my kids are crazy and so is his father :).

You can easily prepare it by making it at home with three to four ingredients. So let’s start making it.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams potatoes

  • Mustard oil – (for deep frying)

  • Salt -2 tsp

Directions

  • Wash all the potatoes thoroughly by pouring water in a big vessel, wash them with clean water at least three-four times until the dirty water stops coming out of it. When the dirty water stops coming out of it, then take it out in a plate and keep it aside.
  • Now take cold water in a pot, peel and cut the potatoes in it and leave it for at least 15 to 20 minutes, also put salt about a spoon in it, and cover and keep it in a cool place.
  • When it is 15:20 minutes, after that, we will boil water in a pot, and when the water starts boiling, then all the potatoes will be put in this hot water. We will also put a spoonful of salt in it, and we will wait for 5 minutes from the clock time and after that we will filter all the potatoes through a sieve and wipe them with a cotton cloth and wait till it cools down. When done, put it in a plate and leave it in the freezer for 1 hour.
  • After 1 hour, take a pan, turn on the gas/stove, and put the pan on it to heat it. Now add oil so that the potatoes can be deep fried. Note that you should add enough quantity of oil. Potatoes should be submerged into it. When we say deep fry, it means oil should be above the level of potatoes in the pan.
  • Heat the oil well, and fry the potatoes very lightly in it, after adding the potatoes, take them out in 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Take out the deep friend potatoes in a plate and leave it under the fan air for 20 minutes.
  • When it is 20 minutes, then after heating the oil well in the same pan, deep fry the potatoes until they become light golden in color, when they start turning golden, take them out and put them in another plate.
  • If you fry it twice, then the potato that is there will not be too heavy and will be ready like a restaurant.
  • So remember, as I told you, this is a very restaurant-like method, once you guys must try it.
  • You can keep the French Fries stored for several weeks after half frying them, and then deep fry them and serve them whenever you want.
